Muff might just be one of those circuits that I love, but from a distance. My current muff-type is a standard EQD Hoof, and I've been looking at a Jam Pedals Red Muck Mk.2 for a hot minute, but I'm not sure. Theres something about how they ride the line between fuzz and distortion, and how the good ones just remind me of my favorite rock tones from the 90s. I had the fortune of getting to try an original 70s Triangle/Ram's Head (not sure which it was) through a Marshall half-stack when I was in my late teens, and the tone and power of that stuck with me. Although I go through fuzzes like candy, I am always drawn to Muffs, and especially modern muff variants. No changes that I can figure out, maybe it's the humidity? OSC1 delivers a wall of dense oscillating distortion and can be altered via the GAIN knob. The pedal features the standard SUPERCOLLIDER circuit along with 2 footswitchable oscillation modes for loads of odd textures, primitive video game noises and walls of feedback. One day I love em and the next day they sound horrible to me. 4, EQD Life Pedal V3, Earthbound Audio Super Collider, Line 6 HX Stomp, Drollo Twin Peaks V5, BNE When the Sun Explodes -> REVV D20. The BEAST is the SUPERCOLLIDER's drugged out alter ego. Pretty much just the next step in my endless search for the perfect muff:) Anyway, it seems there's a wait/preorder list o. I'm still looking for something to replace my swollen pickle II. I like it a lot so far but I have a weird thing with muffs. It was what I decided to look for after my recent 'which sludge/doom fuzz' thread, or whatever the title was. I've always wanted to love muffs, but most of the ones I've had lose their influence for me pretty quick. It really blurs the line between fuzz and distortion. This version is a return to the larger box and aesthetics of the earlier Earthbound Audio pedals. 'The SUPERCOLLIDER distortion / fuzz has been a favorite among bass players and heavy guitarists for the aggressive attack and huge low end. The regular Supercollider still has a muff architecture, with some different clipping architecture to make it a bit less compressed and moe immediate. Earthbound Supercollider in excellent condition. The 71 is essentially a Rams Head Muff with a 3 band eq.
