![]() He was buried in Alabama next to Maxwell Chapel, a church organized by his grandparents in 1916, and was survived by his daughter Kerry Buttram-Galgano and two granddaughters. On January 8, 1994, Buttram died of kidney failure at age 78 at a hospital in Los Angeles, California.
